We the resident of Amparo Subdivision are calling for a 9 pm curfew for under 18 years old in response to the rise in robbery, hold ups, and gang wars that minors in our subdivisions are in.
This past few months we experienced fear of going outside especially at night because teen agers might be lurking and waiting for a potential victim. In response to this, we propose a curfew be set in place for anyone under the age of seventeen. The proposal is as follows: No parent of a child less than eighteen years of age shall permit the child to,loiter in a public place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.; or be in a place of public entertainment between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m., unless the parent accompanies the child or authorizes a specified individual eighteen years of age or older to accompany the child.
